Sing Healthy Choirs Spotlight on the Homeless

Sing Healthy Choirs held a sell-out Christmas concert on 10th December to raise funds for Pilgrim Hearts Trust which helps homeless and vulnerable adults, the poorest people in our communities. Volunteer David Cappelman explained the services provided across Wokingham and Bracknell to a full house at Wokingham Baptist Church. The ‘Gloria’ performance featured a range of traditional carols and Christmas songs and brought together Sing Healthy Wokingham and Bracknell choirs with the exuberant CLASP Choir accompanied by Euchar Gravina on organ.

On 12th December, stalwart singers scraped the snow and ice off their cars to sing carols at The Meadows Shopping Centre to support Step by Step charity for young people aged 11 to 25 facing homelessness. Community Fundraiser, Sarah Mweene, thanked the choir for singing and said “We definitely had more donations”.

Sing Healthy Choirs holds 2-3 concerts each year where profits go to local charities as chosen by choir members.

Sing Healthy Choirs are proud to support this work through the generosity of audience and choir.
